Christmas decorations pattern

Christmas is inexorably here so, no point resisting it! XD
Embrace the festive season with a quick and easy project and make one (or both!) of these Christmas tree decorations.
For this project I used chunky yarn on green, red, brown and white; a 5mm crochet hook and a yarn needle to weave in ends. The pattern is written in UK terms.

ABBREVIATIONS
Ch: chain
Dc: Double crochet stitch

SMALL TREE

TOP OF THE TREE
Using Green, work 15ch.
Row 1: Starting from the second ch from hook, work 1dc in each ch st. Ch1 and turn. (14)
Row 2: Work 1dc in each st. Ch1 and turn. (14)
Row 3: Work 1dec in the first 2dcs; then 1dc in each st until you reach the last 2dcs; then work 1dec in the last 2dcs. Ch1 and turn. (12)
Row 4: Work 1dc in each st. Ch1 and turn. (12)
Row 5-6: Repeat row 3-4. (10)
Row 7-8: Repeat row 3-4. (8)
Row 9-10: Repeat row 3-4. (6)
Row 11-12: Repeat row 3-4. (4)
Row 13: Work 2dec. Ch1 and turn. (2)
Row 14: Work 1dec. (1)
To make the loop, chain 20 and join the end of the chain to the beginning with a sl st. Leave a 10cm tail to sew, cut and fasten off.

TRUNK
To make the trunk, put the tree upside down. Join Brown in the 6th st starting from the right. Pull up a loop and ch1. In the same spot, work 1 dc.
Then work 3dc more. Ch1, turn and make 1dc in each st.
Finally, ch1 and work 1dc in each st. Leave a tail. Cut and fasten off.
DECORATIONS
In Red or White colour, make a round of sl sts following the outline of the top of the tree. Join with the first st. Cut and fasten off.

BIG TREE

TOP OF THE TREE
Using Green, work 15ch.
Row 1: Starting from the second ch from hook, work 1dc in each ch st. Ch1 and turn. (14)
Row 2: Work 1dc in each st. Ch1 and turn. (14)
Row 3: Work 1dec in the first 2dcs; then 1dc in each st until you reach the last 2dcs; then work 1dec in the last 2dcs. Ch1 and turn. (12)
Row 4: Work 1dc in each st. Ch1 and turn. (12)
Row 5-6: Repeat Row 3-4. (10) Cut and fasten off.
Row 7: Make a slip knot, ch2 and join with the piece you just finished working 1sl st in each dc. Then ch3 and turn. (14)
Row 8: Make 1dc in the 2nd ch from hook and another dc in the next ch. Then work 1dc in each st and 2dc in the last 2ch. Ch1 and turn. (14)
Row 9: Work 1dc in each st. Ch1 and turn. (14)
Row 10: Work 1dec in the first 2dcs; then 1dc in each st until you reach the last 2dcs; then work 1dec in the last 2dcs. Ch1 and turn. (12)
Row 11: Work 1dc in each st. Ch1 and turn. (12)
Row 12-13: Repeat Row 10-11. (10)
Row 14-15:
